Precision Surgery. Minimal Scarring.
Every surgical procedure at Dr. Pang Skin Clinic begins with a thorough clinical evaluation and dermoscopy-guided assessment. Dr. Pang selects the most appropriate surgical technique based on lesion type, location, size, and your aesthetic goals — ensuring complete removal with the best possible cosmetic outcome.
All procedures are performed under local anesthesia in our fully equipped in-clinic surgical suite. You remain awake and comfortable throughout — with virtually no pain once anesthesia is in place. Most patients return to daily activities within 1–2 days.
Dermoscopy-Guided Evaluation
Before any incision, Dr. Pang evaluates lesions with dermoscopy — a non-invasive polarized magnification tool that reveals subsurface detail invisible to the naked eye. This guides procedure selection and ensures nothing is missed.
Tension-Line Surgical Technique
Incisions are oriented along Langer's lines (natural skin tension lines), and two-layer closure is used where appropriate — minimizing wound tension and producing fine, flat scars that fade significantly over 6–12 months.
Histopathology When Needed
Any excised tissue with diagnostic uncertainty is submitted to a certified dermatopathologist for histological analysis. Results within 5–10 business days — giving you definitive answers, not guesswork.

"Complete removal with the least possible mark — that's the goal of every surgical procedure."

What We Treat — Surgically & Precisely.
Dr. Pang performs minor and intermediate skin surgeries personally — not delegated to assistants. Each procedure is planned and executed with precision, respecting both medical necessity and cosmetic outcome.
Cyst Removal
"Remove It Completely — So It Doesn't Come Back"
Epidermoid, pilar, sebaceous, and dermoid cysts are benign but can become inflamed, infected, or cosmetically bothersome. Complete surgical excision of the cyst wall prevents recurrence. Partial removal or drainage alone is not enough — the wall must come out.
What to Expect
Skin Biopsy
"Answers Start With a Biopsy"
When a skin lesion needs histological confirmation, a biopsy provides the definitive answer. Dr. Pang selects the most appropriate technique — shave, punch, excisional, or incisional — based on lesion type, location, and clinical suspicion.
Biopsy Types Available
Mole & Lesion Removal
"Medically Sound. Cosmetically Precise."
Whether a mole is cosmetically bothersome, changing in appearance, or requires histological evaluation — Dr. Pang performs elliptical excision along natural skin tension lines for minimal scarring and optimal cosmetic outcomes.
Key Details
Lipoma Removal
"That Lump Under Your Skin — Gone"
Lipomas are benign fatty tumors beneath the skin. While harmless, they can grow larger, press on nerves (causing pain — angiolipoma), or simply be a source of anxiety. Surgical removal is straightforward, permanent, and performed as a same-day procedure under local anesthesia.
Techniques
Keloid & Scar Treatment
"Flatten, Soften, Reduce — Scar Treatment That Works"
Keloids and hypertrophic scars result from overactive wound healing — most common after acne, surgery, burns, or piercings. Multi-modal treatment combining intralesional steroids with laser therapy produces significantly better outcomes than any single approach.
Treatment Protocol
Dermoscopy Evaluation
"See What the Naked Eye Cannot"
Before any surgical decision, Dr. Pang evaluates skin lesions with dermoscopy — a polarized magnification tool that reveals pigment structures, vascular patterns, and microarchitecture. This reduces unnecessary biopsies and ensures correct procedure selection for every lesion.
Diagnostic Benefits
Your Surgical Journey — Step by Step.
Clear, predictable, and transparent — we walk you through every stage of your procedure so you know exactly what to expect from consultation to healed result.
Consultation & Dermoscopy
Dr. Pang evaluates your lesion clinically and with dermoscopy. She explains findings, recommends the most appropriate procedure, and discusses expected outcomes and recovery timeline.
Same-Day or Scheduled Procedure
Most minor surgeries are performed the same day or at a short-notice scheduled appointment. Local anesthesia is applied — you remain awake and comfortable throughout. The procedure itself is typically painless.
Specimen to Pathology (When Needed)
Any excised tissue with diagnostic uncertainty is submitted to a certified dermatopathologist for histological analysis. Results within 5–10 business days — with a follow-up call to discuss findings.
Aftercare & Suture Removal
Detailed written aftercare instructions provided on the day. Sutures removed at 7–14 days depending on location. Follow-up at 4–6 weeks to assess healing and address any concerns.
Surgery Performed Personally.

Healing Well Starts With Good Aftercare.
Proper post-operative care makes the difference between a fine scar and an obvious one. Dr. Pang provides detailed written instructions — here's what to expect.
Keep the Area Clean & Dry
Keep the wound clean with gentle soap and water. Maintain your dressing for 24+ hours. Avoid submerging the area (no swimming, baths) until cleared by Dr. Pang.
Dressing Changes
Change dressings as instructed. Apply petroleum jelly (Vaseline) to keep the wound moist — this significantly reduces scar formation. Dry, scabbing wounds produce worse scars than moist healing.
Activity Restrictions
Return to normal daily activities within 1–2 days. Avoid strenuous exercise, contact sports, and heavy lifting for 1–2 weeks. Excessive movement can pull on sutures and widen the scar.
Suture Removal
Sutures are removed at 7–14 days depending on location: 7 days for face, 10–14 days for trunk and extremities. Full wound strength develops over 6–8 weeks — protect the area from tension during this period.
Sun Protection for Scars
UV exposure darkens healing scars permanently. Apply SPF 50+ sunscreen to the scar area daily for at least 6 months post-surgery. Physical coverage (clothing, hats) is even better.
When to Contact Us
Contact the clinic immediately if you notice increasing redness spreading from the wound, warmth, pus, fever above 38°C, or excessive bleeding. These may indicate infection requiring prompt attention.
What Our Patients Are Saying
Your Questions, Answered
Local anesthesia is used for all surgical procedures. The anesthetic injection itself takes 10–20 seconds — after that, you feel pressure and movement but no pain during the procedure. Post-procedure mild soreness for 1–3 days is normal and well managed with paracetamol. Most patients are surprised by how comfortable the experience is.
All surgical incisions leave a scar — but how visible it becomes depends greatly on technique and aftercare. Dr. Pang minimizes scarring by orienting incisions along skin tension lines, using two-layer closure to reduce wound tension, and providing detailed aftercare guidance including petroleum jelly application and sun protection. Most scars become faint and flat within 6–12 months with proper care.
Most patients return to normal daily activities within 1–2 days. Strenuous exercise and heavy lifting should be avoided for 1–2 weeks. Sutures are removed at 7–14 days depending on location. Full wound strength develops over 6–8 weeks, and scar maturation continues for up to 12 months.
No referral is required. You can book a surgical consultation directly with Dr. Pang Skin Clinic via our contact form or WhatsApp. Dr. Pang will evaluate your lesion and recommend the appropriate procedure at the first appointment. Many procedures can be performed the same day as the initial consultation, depending on complexity and preparation.
Recurrence depends entirely on whether the complete cyst wall is removed. Incomplete removal (drainage or partial excision) almost always results in recurrence. Dr. Pang uses techniques designed to extract the entire cyst wall — minimizing the recurrence risk. Previously infected or ruptured cysts may require a two-stage procedure: drainage first, followed by full wall excision once inflammation resolves.
Dr. Pang will contact you personally as soon as biopsy results are received and discuss findings in detail. If further treatment is required — additional surgical excision with wider margins, referral for Mohs micrographic surgery, or specialist co-management for malignant findings — she will coordinate this for you and explain each step clearly.
Keloid excision alone has a high recurrence rate (up to 80%) — which is why surgical removal of keloids must always be combined with intralesional steroid injections and/or laser therapy to prevent regrowth. At Dr. Pang Skin Clinic, keloid treatment uses a multi-modal protocol: intralesional triamcinolone injections every 4–6 weeks combined with CO2 or pulsed dye laser, producing 50–83% improvement rates significantly better than monotherapy alone. Silicone gel sheets are used for maintenance between sessions.
That Lump, Mole, or Scar — It Can Be Addressed.
Whether it's a cyst you've ignored for years, a mole that's changing, or a scar you'd like treated — the first step is a proper evaluation. Book a surgical consultation with Dr. Pang and get a clear plan on what to do next.
