Our Medical Approach

Treat the Root. Not Just the Surface.

We treat skin disease the way it deserves — with a precise diagnosis first, then a treatment plan designed specifically for you. Many skin conditions are mismanaged because they are misdiagnosed. At Dr. Pang Skin Clinic, we identify the exact cause before prescribing any treatment.

Whether your condition requires topical therapy, systemic medication, phototherapy, laser treatment, or cutting-edge biologic injections — Dr. Pang selects the most appropriate evidence-based protocol tailored to your severity, skin type, and lifestyle.

Comprehensive Diagnosis

Detailed history, visual examination, and clinical assessment. Patch testing, dermoscopy, or biopsy when required for definitive diagnosis.

Personalized Treatment Plan

No one-size-fits-all protocols. Every plan is tailored to your specific condition, severity, skin type, age, and treatment goals.

Long-Term Disease Management

Chronic skin conditions require ongoing care. Dr. Pang monitors response, adjusts therapy, and supports remission maintenance over time.

Conditions We Treat

From Mild to Complex — We Have You Covered.

Dr. Pang provides expert medical dermatology for the full spectrum of skin diseases. Each condition has a different cause, mechanism, and treatment pathway — and each patient receives a plan built for them specifically.

Acne

Acne is not just a teenage problem — it affects millions of adults and causes lasting emotional and physical scars without proper treatment. From mild comedonal breakouts to severe nodular acne requiring isotretinoin, Dr. Pang offers a complete acne management program.

Treatments Available

Topical Retinoids Oral Antibiotics Isotretinoin Chemical Peels Laser Therapy
Medical illustration of atopic dermatitis eczema

Eczema

Chronic, relapsing itch-inflammation cycle that disrupts sleep, focus, and confidence. Modern biologics — especially dupilumab — have transformed outcomes for moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis, achieving clear skin previously impossible with topical therapy alone.

Treatments Available

Emollients Topical Steroids NB-UVB Phototherapy Dupilumab (Biologic)
Medical illustration of psoriasis plaque pattern

Psoriasis

An autoimmune condition causing rapid skin cell buildup — producing scaly, inflamed plaques. Now highly treatable with 12 FDA-approved biologics targeting specific inflammatory pathways (IL-17, IL-23, TNF-α). Many patients achieve 90–100% skin clearance.

Treatments Available

Topical Therapy NB-UVB / Excimer IL-17 Inhibitors IL-23 Inhibitors

Rosacea

Persistent facial redness, visible blood vessels, and acne-like bumps — often dismissed as "just sensitive skin." IPL and pulsed dye laser deliver 50–100% reduction in visible vessels, offering significant, long-lasting improvement.

Treatments Available

Topical Metronidazole Low-Dose Doxycycline IPL Pulsed Dye Laser

Urticaria (Hives)

Sudden itchy welts that may appear anywhere on the body. Acute or chronic — both are manageable with the right antihistamine protocol. Chronic spontaneous urticaria unresponsive to antihistamines now has effective biologic options including omalizumab and dupilumab.

Treatments Available

2nd-Gen Antihistamines Omalizumab Dupilumab

Vitiligo

White patches from autoimmune destruction of melanocytes. A breakthrough treatment — ruxolitinib cream (Opzelura) — is now FDA-approved, with ~50% of patients achieving 75% repigmentation at 12 months. Best results seen on facial and sun-exposed areas.

Treatments Available

Topical Steroids Ruxolitinib Cream NB-UVB / Excimer Laser

Seborrheic Dermatitis

Flaky, oily skin on the scalp, face, and chest driven by Malassezia fungal overgrowth. Highly responsive to treatment — ketoconazole 2% shampoo achieves 88% excellent response within 2–4 weeks in clinical trials. Long-term maintenance prevents relapse.

Treatments Available

Ketoconazole 2% Antifungal Topicals Zinc Pyrithione

Warts & Molluscum

Viral skin infections highly common in Bangkok's hot, humid environment. HPV-caused warts and molluscum contagiosum spread easily — effective treatment stops the spread and speeds clearance. CO2 and Nd:YAG laser achieve high clearance rates with minimal recurrence.

Treatments Available

Cryotherapy CO2 / Nd:YAG Laser Imiquimod Salicylic Acid

Contact Dermatitis

Rashes from allergens or irritants — fragrance, metals, chemicals, cosmetics. Patch testing identifies the exact culprit (gold standard for allergic contact dermatitis) so you can avoid it permanently and prevent recurrence. Early identification is key.

FAQ

Your Questions, Answered

If your skin condition is recurring, worsening, not responding to over-the-counter treatment, or significantly affecting your quality of life — see a dermatologist. Many conditions such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and rosacea require prescription treatments, specialist monitoring, and advanced therapies (biologics, phototherapy) that a GP cannot provide. A correct diagnosis from a board-certified dermatologist is the most important first step.

Biologics are targeted injectable medications that block specific immune pathways driving inflammatory skin conditions. They are used for moderate-to-severe psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and chronic spontaneous urticaria when topical therapies are insufficient. Examples include dupilumab (eczema, urticaria), IL-17/23 inhibitors (psoriasis), and omalizumab (urticaria). Dr. Pang will evaluate whether biologics are appropriate for your specific case, severity, and treatment history.

Both are chronic conditions that are managed rather than cured. However, with the right treatment plan, most patients achieve long periods of clear skin — often described as remission. Modern biologics have dramatically improved long-term outcomes, with many patients maintaining clear skin for months or years. The goal of treatment is maximum disease control with minimum side effects, allowing you to live without being held back by your condition.

Treatment-resistant acne almost always responds to oral isotretinoin — the gold standard for severe, scarring, or refractory acne. It produces long-term remission in the majority of patients. At Dr. Pang Skin Clinic, we also utilize combination approaches including laser therapy (targeting sebaceous glands), hormonal treatments for female patients, and chemical peels. If previous treatments haven't worked, a proper specialist evaluation is critical — the cause of treatment failure is usually identifiable and addressable.

Narrowband UVB phototherapy has an excellent safety profile and is approved for long-term use. Unlike tanning beds, NB-UVB delivers a precise therapeutic wavelength (311 nm) with very low carcinogenicity. Sessions are 2–3 times per week, typically for 20–30 sessions per treatment course depending on your condition and response. Most patients begin seeing improvement by week 4–6. Dr. Pang monitors your response closely and adjusts dosing throughout the course.

Chronic spontaneous urticaria (hives persisting more than 6 weeks) has highly effective treatments available. The key is taking antihistamines every day — not just when hives appear — at the correct dose. If standard antihistamines are insufficient even at 4x the normal dose, omalizumab (FDA-approved anti-IgE biologic) provides excellent control in most cases. Dupilumab is now also FDA-approved for chronic spontaneous urticaria. Dr. Pang will identify the right protocol for your specific pattern and severity.

Yes — and the treatment landscape for vitiligo has genuinely advanced. Ruxolitinib cream (Opzelura) is the first FDA-approved topical JAK1/JAK2 inhibitor specifically indicated for vitiligo. Clinical trials show approximately 30% of patients achieving 75% facial repigmentation at 6 months, increasing to ~50% at 12 months. Results are best on the face and sun-exposed areas. Combining ruxolitinib with NB-UVB phototherapy produces superior outcomes compared to either treatment alone. Dr. Pang will assess your vitiligo pattern, extent, and stability before recommending the optimal approach.

Your Skin Deserves a Proper Diagnosis.

Chronic skin conditions improve dramatically with the right treatment. Schedule a consultation with Dr. Pang and get a treatment plan built specifically for you — not a guesswork prescription from a general pharmacy.
