What is Vascular Laser Treatment?
A vascular laser targets the blood vessels that cause redness, flushing and visible veins. At Dr. Pang Skin Clinic we use a next-generation dual-wavelength vascular and pigment laser — the Derma V by Cynosure·Lutronic. It combines a 532 nm (KTP) wavelength that targets superficial redness and brown pigment with a deeper-reaching 1064 nm (Nd:YAG) wavelength for larger and deeper blood vessels — all in one comfortable platform.
Its intelligent IntelliTone™ delivery and the gentle Clear and Smooth™ mode, paired with built-in skin cooling, allow precise treatment of vascular and pigmented concerns while protecting the surface of your skin — making it well suited to a wide range of skin tones.

How Does Vascular Laser Work?
The laser uses precisely tuned light energy that is absorbed by the exact target — the haemoglobin in blood vessels or the melanin in pigment — and converted to gentle heat, while cooling protects the skin around it.
Vessels — Reducing Redness & Veins
The vascular laser delivers energy that is absorbed by the haemoglobin in your blood vessels and converted into heat. This gently contracts and collapses the vessel, so redness, flushing and visible veins fade from the surface of the skin.
Pigment — Clearing Dark Spots
Using controlled heating, the laser targets unwanted, visible brown pigment while specialised skin-cooling technology protects the top layers of your skin. Pigment is broken up and gradually cleared by your body for a brighter, more even complexion.
Precision Handpiece with Integrated Cooling
The handpiece delivers each pulse with a matched spot size and built-in cooling for comfort and surface protection. Your dermatologist selects the wavelength, energy and cooling for your specific concern — so treatment is both effective and gentle.
What Can Vascular Laser Treat?
Vascular and pigmented concerns can arise from sun damage, genetics and natural ageing. Vascular laser is proven to treat a wide range of them across many skin tones.
Rosacea
Calms the persistent central-face redness and flushing of rosacea by reducing the dilated vessels that drive it.
Facial Redness & Flushing
Reduces general facial redness and easy flushing for a calmer, more even skin tone.
Broken Capillaries
Clears the fine, thread-like broken capillaries often seen around the nose and cheeks.
Spider Veins
Targets spider veins on the face and body, including fine superficial veins on the legs.
Cherry Angioma
Removes the small, bright-red raised blood spots (cherry angiomas) that appear with age.
Post-Acne Redness
Fades the lingering red-pink marks (PIE) left behind after acne heals. Pairs well with our acne & scar treatments.
Melasma
Gentle, low-fluence settings help soften melasma as part of a carefully managed, dermatologist-led plan.
Red Scars
Softens the redness in fresh or raised red scars, helping them blend more naturally with surrounding skin.
Facial Rejuvenation
The Clear and Smooth™ mode refreshes overall tone and texture — complementing our skin quality treatments.

Vascular Laser — Frequently Asked Questions
Vascular laser is a dual-wavelength laser treatment used for vascular and pigmented skin concerns — including rosacea, facial redness, broken capillaries, spider veins, cherry angiomas, post-acne redness, age spots, freckles, melasma, red scars and overall facial rejuvenation.
Most patients find vascular laser comfortable. You may feel a mild, warm snapping sensation during each pulse, eased by the handpiece’s integrated cooling. Discomfort varies with the area and condition being treated, and your provider adjusts settings for your comfort.
A typical session lasts about 5 to 20 minutes, depending on the size and number of areas being treated. Many appointments fit easily into a lunch break.
Downtime is minimal. You may notice mild redness and slight puffiness immediately after treatment, but you can usually return to normal activities right away, apply light makeup, and go about your day. Daily sunscreen is important afterwards.
Some lesions, such as small vessels and spots, may fade almost immediately, while others break down and clear over several weeks as your skin renews. The number of sessions depends on your concern — many patients see meaningful improvement in 1–3 sessions. Dr. Pang will recommend a realistic plan during your consultation.
Our vascular laser offers two wavelengths plus integrated skin cooling, which allows treatment to be tailored across a wide range of skin tones. As with any laser, safety depends on correct settings and an accurate diagnosis — which is why treatment at Dr. Pang Skin Clinic is always dermatologist-led. Avoid recent tanning before your session.
IPL uses broad-spectrum light, while a vascular laser uses focused laser energy at two specific wavelengths (532 nm and 1064 nm). This lets it target redness, vessels and pigment more precisely, reach deeper vessels, and treat lesions that broad IPL may not fully clear.
